Addie W. Hartman

Addie wrote in her notebook beginning in 1892 in Millbach, Pennsylvania, when she was 14 years old. She wrote short essays about agriculture, recorded poems that she liked, documented the names of the “scholars” in her class, and doodled with crayons. She would later marry David Reed, have 2 children, and work in a shirt factory.
